This looks like a great week for Marvel! Sorry none of the DC or independent comics really caught my eye. Comics worth checking out this week: Incredible Hulks #612: Bruce Banner is the Hulk once again, and far from being left alone, he’s got a whole family of gamma-charged allies at his side. Son Skaar, daughter [...] AMC recently announced that The Walking Dead television series will premier on Halloween at 10PM EST. The premier episode will be 90 minutes and each episode after will be 60 minutes. A 4 1/2 minute trailer has also bee released: Comics worth checking out this week: The Viltrumite War continues! The traitor is revealed as the Viltrumite Empire’s Grand Regent Thragg launches a full-scale assault on the Coalition of Planets home base on Talescria. It appears that all is lost, but The Coalition isn’t going to go down without a fight. If you like [...] Comics worth checking out this week: Batman’s investigation into the murders of Dark Knight villains past and present leads him to old associates of Bruce Wayne…some of whom aren’t so happy to see him. While the mysterious killer picks his next target, the rift between Terry and Bruce widens. This is it, the end [...] Saw this over on the AMC site while looking for news about The Walking Dead tv show and though I would share: This animation is 8 minutes long and covers the first 15 and a half pages from issue no 1 of The Walking Dead comic book. In 1986 Frank Miller changed Batman forever with Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. In this book Batman is old and has retired. Gotham has just gotten worse and worse without Batman to protect it. Finally Batman can take no more and returns darker and more violent that we have ever seen him before.
After Batman: [...] Nickelodeon’s new cartoon coming next year, Wolverine And The X-Men: So on December 5th another Punisher movie will hit theaters directed by Lexi Alexander and starring Ray Stevenson and Dominic West. So what’s different? I think they are starting over again. I believe the last movie starting Thomas Jane exist in this storyline, it’s just ignored and not referenced to. We will have to wait [...] Looks good so far… But I’m still not sure about this. Alan Moore has already said this story can never be done properly in movie format. Watchmen is a fantastic story, I hope they don’t ruin it. If you have never read Watchmen, please check it out: Watchmen. It is a really great story. |
