The second map pack for Modern Warfare 2 is now available for X-Box Live Gold members at 1200MSP. As with the first map pack released a few months ago, this one has five maps. Three of the maps are new and two fan favorites from Modern Warfare re-done for MW2.

First of the new maps is Carnival, fast passed map with close quarters and plenty of hiding places. There are even quite a few elevated spots for sniping and defense.  Carnival has a Ferris wheel, fun house and plenty of other attractions making this a unique and fun map for the Modern Warfare series.

Much like Carnival, Trailer Park is another close quarters map that takes place in a some what abandoned trailer park.  Trailer Park has more hiding spots that Carnival but these hiding spots tend to get bunched up with team mates.  Avoid bunching up with team mates as you become easy targets for rifle mounted grenade launchers.  Trailer Park has several long corridors making sentry gun placement easy for plenty of extra kills.

Fuel is the third new map in the Resurrection Map Pack.  Fuel is based on an oil refinery and is ideal for snipers with open spaces that can easily be seen from higher altitudes.  Fuel is somewhat unique for Modern Warfare as is seem almost sniper specific and may become frustrating to anyone that doesn’t enjoy sniping.

Strike was a very popular map in the original Modern Warfare that now returns with a little MW2 graphical polish added to it. Strike is an urban map surrounded by hotels and stores that very fun and balanced.

Vacant is also from the first Modern Warfare and is based on a Russian office complex.  Vacant has areas both inside and outside the office complex.  Even though you are covered from air strikes in the office complex, the tight quarters and sharp turns make it hard not to get killed as you turn a corner.

The Resurgence map pack should be available on PlayStation 3 in month or so for $14.99.
