Since I got an iPod Touch last year for my birthday I’ve found some really useful and well written applications. I also enjoy using Twitter. Tweetie is an awesome application for using Twitter on the iPhone/iPod Touch. It displays all the post you would find on the Twitter site in an easily readable format that makes using Twitter a breeze. Tweetie breaks everything down into 5 tabs, Tweets, Replies, Messages, Favorites, and More. The first four are as you would expect just like on the Twitter site itself. The more tab has a few extra features you won’t find on the Twitter site Trends and Nearby as well as Search, My Profile and Go To User. The Nearby feature uses your location to find and display post form other Twitter members near you broken down from 2km to 100km ranges. Trends is a fun and easy way to find topics being discussed on Twitter. Tweetie is hands down one of the best, if not the best Twitter clients for the iPhone/iPod Touch. The only negative is that it cost $2.99 for the client, but if you enjoy using Twitter I think it is worth the money and updates are free.

Goodbye Battlestar Galactica

Funny my last post was about Battlestar starting back up again. Well last friday was the final episode of Battlestar Galactica. I have to say I’m somewhat sad to see it end. I know when it all started we were told that there was going to be a definite ending and at the time it was good to hear that the show would not linger on if it became popular. During the airing they did show a commercial for another Battlestar mini-sereies that will give us all a glimpse of things from the Cylon perspective so I’m looking forward to that. All in all I was very pleased with the series as a whole. Most series start to fizzle out or go off on some tangent that loses people after gaining popularity and momentum. Thank you to all the everyone involved with making the show, it was a fun and enjoyable ride!
