Battlestar Galactica Prequel Television Movie Trailer: Caprica

Not sure about this yet

Spent the day with my family and got to see WALL*E yesterday. Even though it was a good movie, it was lacking something the other Pixar movies have. I think that was the dialog. What makes Pixar movies great is the animation coupled with the great stories and dialog. WALL*E didn’t have much in the dialog department. Instead of dialog we got a lot of political and environmental messages that I don’t really think the kids noticed. I didn’t leave theater thinking I want to buy this one on DVD when it comes out like other Pixar movies. I don’t think my kids would really care if we got the DVD or not. It would probably get watched once and never watched again. All in all, WALL*E is a good movie, just not what I usually expect from a Pixar movie.

Watchmen Motion Comics are free right now on iTunes. This looks like episode (issue?) one. Not sure if newer episodes will be free as well. Grab them while you can!
Watchmen Motion Comics on iTunes
I watched the first few minutes and I have to say this is amazing. I hope to see this process done to more comics. They’ve taken the original comic and used to to create an animated movie narrated and all.

Looks good so far…
But I’m still not sure about this. Alan Moore has already said this story can never be done properly in movie format. Watchmen is a fantastic story, I hope they don’t ruin it.
If you have never read Watchmen, please check it out: Watchmen.
It is a really great story.

I’ve been seeing commercials for the season of Heros. I have to say I’m pretty excited I really enjoy this show. Last season was a bit disapointing due to the writers strike. Following Battlestar Galactica’s footsteps, NBC is airing Webisodes of Heros leading everyone into the next season:
Part one will be available on July 14th with new episodes available on subsequent Mondays.

With the new Batman movie coming out on July 18th and everyone all buzzing about it, I thought it would be a great idea to talk about some great Batman stories! This list is no order, just how ever they come to me.
1. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns
This is the big one, the story that brought Batman back. In 1986 when DC and Frank Miller released this book fans had never seen a Batman like this one. Batman has retired and crime has steadily risen ever since. Gangs have taken over the city. Finally having enough, Bruce Wayne once again becomes Batman to clean up Gotham. Batman is very dark in this story unlike any version of Batman we had seen before it. This also pre-dates the Sin City and 300
.
2. Batman: The Killing Joke
This one is by Alan Moore. This story show how crazy and brutal the Joker really is. At one point shoots Commissioner Gordon’s daughter in the spine leaving her crippled for the rest of her life.
3. Batman: Year One
After finishing the Dark Knight Returns, Frank Miller continues to revamp Batman by retelling Batman’s origin while also modernizing the character as well.
4. Batman: The Long Halloween
Picking up on a subplot from Batman: Year One this story dives into Batman’s early career. This book captures Batman perfectly.
5. Batman: No Man’s Land is a novel based on a huge run of Batman comics involving the destruction of Gotham City, the disappearance of Batman when Gothom most needs him and how the supporting characters deal with the disaster.
Thats enough for now, here is a little peak at the new movie:
